December 22, 2008

Only 3 more days till Christmas! Yay! I still have so much to do though. Also it looks like the weather is going to be nice enough for us to go to Ogden to pick up our Honey Baked Ham and do dinner and swimming on Christmas Eve with my mom and Rick.

We went to Grams house this weekend in Lewiston. We went over on Saturday afternoon and slept over. The kids love having sleep overs. Lexi didn't sleep very well and kept me up some of the night. In the morning we watched Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys, Santa Clause is Comming to Town and the new movie A Meiser Brothers Christmas. We got a free DVD rental from the RedBox so we wented Journey to the Center of the Earth. That was my favorite movie of the day.

Ladell, Joann and Mitch showed up around Lunch time and brough KFC chicken with them. It was so yummy. This is one of our favorite meals to have a grams house. The kids loved seeing Mitch. They call him Uncle Mitch because Kris is the closest thing to a brother Mitch has. Kris, Mitch, Zak and Kayja played games together. They had so much fun. Lexi was like a Koala the whole time. She just clung to my neck and wouldn't let me put her down. Since we left her with grandma with the basketball in September for a few days she hasn't wanted to go to hardly anyone but Kris or I let alone people she doesn't know or hasn't seen in a while. She is such a silly girl. She is getting so big. Lexi is definately ready for Christmas. She keeps trying to rip presents open.

I keep bugging Kris about what we are going to do when we close the store. But he doesn't want to talk about it. He just wants to take care of it in his own way. It is kind of hard for me. But I think I have figured out a few things that will keep me busy and happy. I know I am supposed to stay home with my Children. They need me. But I also need to do things for myself. Going to gymnastics once a week has definately helped out. I hope I can continue to keep going for a while. I love getting the exercise. Even if it is just once a week.

I want to write and take pictures. Probably make books. I should be able to do this in my spare time with my kids. I want to write informative books and about things I like and things I learn about. Also I think I am going to write a book on how to be a good stay at home mom and making the decision. I know I have lots to tell about my experiences and there is lots more for me to learn and research to help me be better. I need to get organized a little better. I make lots of lists of things. I'm hoping I can put them all on here eventually. Then I have everything in one place, and it doesn't take up any space.

I think I want to make tourism information about lots of different destinations I want to go to. This way hopefully I'll get to travel everywhere to take the pictures for my books. I'm going to start close to home on a small budget. I'm going to take pictures of all the fun things to do in Logan and the Cache Valley area to start with. I'm excited to do this with my kids. They will have so much fun and so will I.

December 18, 2008

Today I got to stay home with the kids and clean the house. Zak really loves playing his Star Wars Legos video game. It doesn't matter how many times he beats the game. I put Kayja and Lexi in the tub while I was doing laundry and cleaning. They are like little fish. They love to swim in the tub. Today, Lexi decided she was going to get in and out of the tub so I had to take her out.

This morning Kris broke out the Christmas home videos from years past. It is fun seeing the kids when they were really little. We've always liked to watch home videos. Tonight we drove down to Corrine to go to my mom's ward Christmas Party. It was probably the best one I've ever been to. They did the whole Grinch Story and we were at the Christmas Feast. The numbers they did were also really fun. I want to put on a show like that some day. It doesn't have to be professional or anything. I just love to perform. I've been wanting to put together something like a Christmas show with my little family. The kids would love it.

I'm really excited for Christmas. It is going to be different this year. On Christmas Eve we are going to go to a Mexican Restraunt for dinner in Brigham City with my Mom, Rick, Lisa and Mike. Then we are going to go swimming in the hot springs for an hour or so. (Hopefully this makes the kids tired so they sleep-in in the morning.) If not it's ok because it will be Christmas. One big reason I can't wait for Christmas is because I finally get a little bit of a break. I get to stay home and enjoy my time with my family and play games.

December 17, 2008

Today I worked at the store again. I'm getting really excited for Christmas. Christmas Eve is only a week away. I still have lots of shopping to do. But I guess that isn't really the spirit of Christmas. I am trying really hard to focus on Christ this Christmas season and be more like him. I finished reading the Book of Mormon for this year early in December so I started into the New Testament. Kris said that if I wanted to learn more about Christ I needed to read it again. I'm hoping I'll get more insight this time just like I did with this last time that I read the Book of Mormon. It seemed like every chapter had something in it that I needed to hear or ponder at the specific time I read it.

I am very greatful to have the scriptures to guide my life. I think if I didn't believe in Christ my life would be really different. I have depression and it seems like the only way I get through things is leaning on my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The more I consistantly do the things the lord asks the happier my life is. One important thing that I've learned this last year is to be GREATFUL for everything and live in the gratitude circle. I've had to try not to feel entitled to things anymore. Plus, things don't always have to be the way they seem.

I am especially greatful for my wonderful husband and all that he does for me. He has been sick a lot durring our short time of marriage and I have been pretty onery about it because it happens so often. I'm trying now to do my best to help him out and just be happy. It has made a bid difference. I also recently decided that I didn't need to give everything I loved before I got married. I just needed to put it in a different Priority order. When Zak started into Gymnastics it really made me want to do it again. It was something that made me feel good inside and out. It is such an accomplishment to me. So right now I am just doing gymnastics for fun and exercise. But who knows, maybe I'll be able to compete again.

I'm also very greatful for children who love me in spite of my flaws. They love me and take care of me when I feel sad. They have such sweet spirits. I think they've taught me more than I've taught them. But I realised I didn't need to teach them everything, because I really don't know everything. But everyone has different gifts and talents that contribute to raising a child. It really does take a whole community to raise a child. But it does start at home.

December 16, 2008

Hi, Today I went to work at our store. We finally got our big shipments of games and Heroclix. Now I have lots to do to update our ebay store. We got 2 Sinestro Batman Chase Figures. They are worth more than $100.00 We also got a Spider-Woman Chase figure.

I went to Gymnastics this evening. It was soooooo fun. I went for the first time last week. It took me 3 days to quit being sore. Today we did a little bit of tumbling. I'm gaining my skills back. I can do back handsprings, back tucks, whips and back layouts. I'm almost to where I left off. Then we got to practice skills on the trampoline. They have 3 of them at the gym, and there was only 3 of us so I got my own. I've never competed in Trampoline before so I don't know all the basic skills but I can do a lot of the flips. I did learn some new things too. I had a lot of fun.

December 15, 2008

Today I went to work at the store. Kris and I own and Game Store in the Cache Valley Mall. We are so happy it is Christmas time. Sales are going really well right now. I have lots to do all the time. But I am trying to manage my time better and remember what is most important and what my priorities should be.

Gerryn brought Zak and Kayja home today. The weather was good enough to drive in this morning. I didn't know they had gotten home while I was working. So it was a surprise when I got home. After I left the store I had to go mail packages of stuff that had been bought from our Ebay store. Today was supposed to be the busiest mailing day of the year and the lines were supposed to be long. However, it really wasn't that bad, compared to the last two days I went last week. The news people must have scared everyone off.

After that I went to Walmart. I had to get Kris some Pepto Bismal for his stomach. I also was looking for presents for Lexi. But I didn't find anything I loved. So I didn't buy anything but the medicine. After that I went to Little Ceaser's Pizza to get Lunch. Then I finally got to go home. That is when I was surprised when I walked in the door by Zak and Kayja. They looked so good. They both got haircuts while they were at grandma's house. They were also excited I had brough home pizza.

I then packaged Randee and Kit's family presesnts because I had to send them today so they would get there before Christmas. Actually I might have been able to wait a few more days but I would rather be safe than sorry. Kris' family always draws names for people to get each other gifts, and we had them this year.

The kids are so excited for Christmas. They keep asking if Santa is going to come tonight because it finally snowed. We haven't been able to put any presents under the tree this year because Lexi has learned that ripping the paper off of the presents is fun. Plus last year we wrapped each kids presents in a different wrapping paper. Kayja ended up opening a few of her gifits. So we'll all be really surprised on Christmas morning when we see the presents under the tree.

One tradition that we really like is getting a Honey Baked Ham and Turkey for Christmas day. This is the best tasteing meat. It is even good cold and on sandwhiches. I am tired, so GOODNIGHT!

December 14, 2008

Hi! My name is Jennifer Casias. I wanted to create this blog to start my own electronic journal. To start off with, I would like to tell a little bit about myself. I am married and have 3 wonderful children. My Husband's name is Kris and my kids names are Zak, Kayja, and Lexi. Zak turned 5 on Halloween this past year. Kayja is 3 and will turn 4 April 9, 2009. Lexi is 1 and will be for awhile. She will be turning 2 on July 17, 2009. Her birthday is really special to me because she was born on my grandma JoAnn's birthday.

We live in Logan Utah and we love it here. Kris' grandma lives in Lewiston, Utah which is only about 20 min. away. We visit her all the time and the kids just love her. Kris' dog Hyacinth lives with her because we don't have a house with a yard yet. Hyacinth is an American Eskimo Dog. Kris got her as a puppy before he went on his mission. She is a fun dog and the kids love her. But they also torture sometimes when we are not looking.

So today we were supposed to go to Salt Lake for our annual Christmas Party with the Anderson Family. However, as we got closer to Sardine Canyon the snowier it got. We decided not to risk it and we went to Grandmas house instead. Gerryn took Zak and Kayja down to grandma with the basketballs house on Friday right before the storm. Grandma and Grandpa wanted to take them to the annual Policemans family Christmas party on Saturday night.

They all went and got to see Santa, and pick out a gift. They apparently have thousands of dollars of toys there for kids to pick something out that they wanted for christmas. Zak picked out Bakugans and Kayja picked out Barbies. (Of Course) These are both of their favorite things.

Lexi stayed with us for the weekend. She is such a cute little girl. She didn't really know what to do without her brother and sister for the first little while. But she is doing ok as long as we entertain her, and keep her busy. Lots of the time she is like my little baby doll. She is so loveable and hugable. She gives the best hugs and kisses. She also has the cutest laugh when you tickle her. Yesterday we were going to have someone babysit Lexi while we went to the movie. But the weather was too bad. So we took her. We were a little leary to take her because she hadn't sit through a movie with us yet. But this time she was good till the very end of the movie. It was quite an accomplishment.

The movie we saw was Twilight. It was soooooooo good. At least I thought so. Kris didn't like it because it was all a love story with no really plot and not a lot of action. However, I thought the love story was awesome. The story is about a teanage girl named Bella (Isabella). Whe was living with her mom in Arizona. Her mom got remarried to a minor league baseball player. He traveled a lot and Bella wanted to let her mom go with him. So she decided to move to Washington and live with her dad.

The town wasn't very big so there weren't a lot of kids in her High School and everyone thought she was like the shinny new toy. Everyone wanted to be her friend and the boys all wanted to go out with her. They were eating lunch and a group of kids she didn't know came walking in she didn't know yet. They were the Collins. There were 5 of them 3 boys and 2 girls. One boy especially caught her eye. His name is Edward. All the girls liked him but he didn't want to date any of them. Lunch ended and she walked into Biology class. The only person left to partner up with was Edward Collins. He acted disgusted by her like she was repulsive to him. He didn't talk to her the whole class. Then, after class he tried to transfer to a different science class, but the school administration wouldn't let him.

The weather turned good and he didn't show up to school for a few days. She was waiting to confront him as to why he was so rude. Finally, on a day it was pouring he showed up to school again. When they met in Science class he acted like their previous encounter never happened. They became friends at this point, but he still kept his distance from her.

One morning she was standing by her truck on the opposite side of the school parking lot from Edward, when a van came ripping into the parking lot. A car was starting to back out and the van swerved and went out of control heading right in bella's direction. Bella though she was a gonner. All of the sudden Edward was there protecting her. He put out his hand and stopped the van. He even left a dent in the side of the van. Bella knew something was strange. He was unusually strong.

Bella and the kid driving the van were taken to the hospital and examined by Dr. Collins. Which happens to be Edwards Foster dad. They were fine thanks to Edward. However Bella was the only one who really saw what had happened. She tried to confront him about it but he still denied that anything out of the ordinary happened. Eventually Bella does some research and puts all the odd things together about Edward. She realises he's a Vampire.

By this time she is in love with him because of all the things he did for her. Bella said she wasn't afraid of him and that she knew he would never hurt her. He said she was like his own personal heroine. That she was entoicating like a drug and that he felt the need to protect her and be around her. But he was afraid to loose control and turn her into a Vampire. But she knew he wouldn't.

Edward has lighting speed, great strenght and can climb like a monkey. He put her on his back and took her to the top of a mountain above the clouds. When the sunlight shone down on his face his skin glittered like diamonds. Bella though he was beautiful. He said people would know we were different if we came out in the sun. That is why we only come out on cloudy days.

At this point they start going to school together and everyone knows they are a couple. Edward takes Bella to meet his family. His VAMPIRE FAMILY. Don't worry because they are all friendly Vampires that only drink the blood of animals. It keeps the strong and healthy. Bella goes with Edwards family to play baseball during a thunderstorm, because this is the only time the sound of the bat hitting the ball could be masked because of their strength. This scene in the movie is really cool. It would be fun to play baseball with the strenght and speed of a Vampire or a Superhero.

Because they were out playing baseball they drew the attention of 3 other Vampires. These were bad ones. They had been killing people in the area. They didn't notice Bella at first, and they asked to play baseball. Just as they were going out to play the wind blew and Bella's scent wifted over to James. (One of the Bad Vampires). He said, "You brought a snack.." Edward was very protective of her and this spurred James on. Edward knew he had to get Bella out of there and fast. They jumped into the jeep and sped away.

They had to leave town and all of Edwards family split up to try and misslead James. However James wasn't fooled for very long. He went to Bella's moms house. He called her and told her, her mom would die if she didn't meet him at her old Ballet studio. So she went. He tortured her and almost killed her. He even bit her wrist putting the Venom into her system. Then Edward showed up. Took him on for a bit and then the rest of the family showed up and took care of James. He wouldn't bother Bella anymore.

Bella was dieing because of the Vampire Venom in her system. The only way she could be saved was for Edward to suck the Poison out of her blood. He didn't think he could stop. But he did. They love each other so much. He said they shouldn't see each other any more and she said he couldn't leave her. They got back to Washington after Bella recovered and went to the prom together. That night she said she wanted to be with him forever. That she was ready to be like him. But he wouldn't do it. He said isn't it enough to live a long happy life together. And that is how the movie ended.

It was really a good chick flick and lots better than I expected, because I wasn't much of a vampire person but the love story made it so good. I can't wait to read the next book. There are actually 4 books out in the series right now. If the books are anything like the movie I am going to love reading them. I am a hopeless romantic at heart.

I have always dreamed of being treated like a princess like Edward treated Bella. In this case she isn't a princess but I'm sure she feels like one because he wants her, loves her, and she is his world and treats her like it every second. Isn't that what any woman wants?

This is the reason I have decided to really do this blog. To be able to write everything down, and explore my dreams even if they aren't real. Words are so powerful and reading often takes you to a place out of the world you live in and into another dimension just for a little while. There is so much we can enjoy in books where the impossible becomes possible.
